Friends' lives are put in danger as they help him in finding the enemy. Altair, an alien creature, has taken his likeness and tries to deter Ross from taking the course of action he is determined to carry out, which can only result in disaster he fears: possibly culminating in the demise of his own life. Ross remains adamant, the need for revenge is too strong.
