His ministry came to nothing because of his lack of commitment. His end results were that of a soothsayer and false prophet. The basis of his ministry speaks to us today as Christians and leaders. Balaam started as a bright and shining star but burned out for eternity. Like Balaam, we cannot achieve spiritual success with carnal works. As Christians, we can be victorious and tremendously used by God if He remains the center and focus of our lives.
