Although he is Catholic, Mr. Lordan even references other religions and faiths in order to weave modern works of art that can stand on their own. This collection taken as a whole can be read as a new book of psalms. It is inspirational. However, the reader should be forewarned that there are some poems that should be read with a Bible handy to enrich the references both deep and obscure. This book is intense.
