Reseña del libro "Reflections In Songs, Shadows, and Dreams: Gulewich Brother's Original Song Lyrics, Stories and Pictures (en Inglés)"
Songs Shadows and Dreams is a 200 plus page book replete with songs, lyrics, short stories/quips and photos. All the songs are original and have the chords place unobtrusively above the lyric lines. In the rear part of the book are unfinished original songs or lyrics that may become listening music in the future.Accompanying these items are original black and white photos that relate to and illustrate the music, they help draw the reader into the written words. These pictures were taken on extended travel trips in exotic places or are family photos or still life images. Along with these are accompanying stories of family history, relational tidbits about events that inspired the music or the feeling and ideas that help craft the songs. The songs themselves are folk/rock based and vary with influences of gospel, reggae, and classic rock influences. The lyrics are inventive and poetic and stand on their own. There are over eighty original complete songs and over forty lyrics (some with music) in varying degrees of completion but in readable and relatable format. The ideas in the book are thought provoking and will garner in depth discussions. They range from religious and political to fundamental human emotions. The book is a testament to struggling singer/songwriters who believe in the quality of their own work and the importance of the struggle to get themselves heard.
