They were the same age, and she was also raised as an only child. Her career as a writer will bring her crashing into Jolene's life. Her interests are piqued when she finds discrepancies in a date rape story that involved Jolene. And as she digs deeper into Jolene's past, their lives soon collide and the two are forever changed, bound by veracity. Cameron will be exposed to a difficult truth about Jolene, one that she unintentionally tainted by her own doing.The contrasting backdrop of Jolene's and Cameron's lives doesn't prevent them from coming together. Instead they become linked by their quests and are connected through anguish. They will both have to accept their hand in each other's fate, but only one of them will have a chance to tell the story.
