The quarry may be a lost or runaway child, Alzheimer's patient, lost hunter or hiker, criminal, or escaped felon. In each case, the scenario and influential factors affecting the search success will vary. However, a properly trained canine and handler can save hundreds of man-hours, plus the stress and frustration that accompanies any search operation.
