Reseña del libro "Badol Da's Belly Dance"

Badol Da’s Belly dance is a humorous take on life that happens when we are busy with the superfluous. The foreground of the story is nagging disease of Badol da, a simpleton. His constant search to find permanent cure of his belly problem pushes him into odd circumstances and situational comic instances that can not only be related and felt but also understood as it is a piece taken from our daily lives. The story is a keen observation of the ordinary in an extra ordinary manner. The narration of the story seamlessly flows from one chapter to another making the otherwise funny and laughable Badol da into a relatable and endearing character. After losing his wife to cancer and children to higher paying jobs, Badol da is settled in a small town always complaining of a stomach ailment for which no one could find cure. The talkative nature of Badol da makes his stomach problem a common knowledge among office employees and this in turn brings havoc in Badol da’s life in form of forced VRS (voluntary retirement scheme) by his manager. Badol da though approaching his age of retirement is reluctant to take retirement. In an attempt to save his job Badol da now has to prove himself healthy before the company medical board and fight all the odds alone. In this time of need an unexpected friend arrives for his help. Read about how a stomach ailment brings many unwelcome and a welcome change in Badol da’s life.
