Reseña del libro "A More Perfect Union - Book One: a primer on governance (en Inglés)"
Over the past two centuries American democracy has made substantial progress toward becoming more expansive, inclusive and egalitarian. Unfortunately, we are now at a point where this effort has stalled and where further progress is doubtful. In short, our governmental structure has reached the bounds of its effectiveness and our governance is now in decline. Americans sense this. There is a strong undercurrent of dissatisfaction flowing through the land and Americans are frustrated with the inability of their elected leaders to govern. As a result, they are seeking salvation from presidential candidates, both left and right, that they perceive as political outsiders (Trump, Carson, Fiorina and Sanders). Unfortunately, this too is not the answer. Through the guise of an unbiased visitor from Mars (Ergo the Martian) the author offers insight on what is going wrong and, more importantly, ideas on how to make it right, with proposals that are sound, plausible, reasoned and achievable. These proposals are not for our elected officials, who are collectively the problem, but rather are for frustrated Americans - who are the only ones that can make a difference and who, by collective and concerted effort - can actually right the ship.
